GTHR is a movement creating small communities in urban cities for people to engage Christ and His work in our lives. We want to be safe spaces for any seeker of faith to contemplate life (i.e. “What is my purpose?” “Does my life matter?” “How do I obtain true fulfillment?”) through a biblical lens and experience the transforming love of God with others.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” —Acts 2:42-47
The early church was based around small, intentional gospel communities that did four things: ate, prayed, fellowshipped, and studied scripture. God utilized them to impact their localities and bring people to know Him and walk in love with Him. We desire the same and, therefore, follow a similar model to the early church.
Every 1st & 3rd Friday night, we meet in different places (houses, cafes, beaches, etc.) to fellowship, eat delicious food (yum!), and participate in a facilitated discussion about life inspired from a passage of the Bible. By the end of each GTHRng, we hope participants will more closely:
Experience who God is,
Discover who they are, and
Become who they are called to be.
